Have you been tempted by the Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset lately? If your answers is yes, the 2012 CUBE Agree GTC Di2 should certainly be the one to consider. It’s German, it look stealthy too and what is the best bit is the price tag – £2499!!  At the price point where most established manufactures are selling your standard Ultegra grouppo, CUBE are offering one of the cheapest full carbon builds with the Ultegra Di2 on board out there!

Cube Agree GTC Di2 Carbon Road Racing Bike Technologies:

TS – Tapered Steerer: This new steering tube design is more rigid and generates a more secure ride feel even in difficult terrain. Due to the direct power transmission the greatest possible steering precision is generated. With the larger fork shaft the forks become more rigid. At the same time weight is saved due to the absence of bearing shells as the lower bearing is fully integral. On CUBE carbon models the upper bearing shells are also directly in the frame, so that once more a few grams are saved.

Press Fit BB: With press-fit bearings, the outer bearing ring is pressed directly into the frame housing and not screwed-in as usual. With its wider housing, the down tube and the chain stays are joined with the full width. Because the width of the housing is a parameter in calculating the stiffness, every millimeter of additional width gives a significant improvement of lateral stiffness, whilst retaining the comfort-bringing resilience of the chain stays.

Twin Mold technology: In this process possibly dangerous folding is eliminated by constant control of carbon fibers during the curing process. By using fixed internal forms at junction points the quantity of resin is considerably reduced and the fibers bonded more tightly together. The result is increased product safety and improved STW values.

FSS – Frame Save System: To protect our high-end aluminum frames, they are built with the CUBE Frame Save System replaceable derailleur hanger. The thread is in the hanger and not in the frame as usual. In case of a crash, this hanger can be easily and quickly replaced by a new one.

Ready for Race Geometry: Our bicycles with RFR-geometry stand out by their sports character. The riding characteristics, rider comfort and rider safety in particular are taken in account for each individual bike category.

Wet Paint Surface: On polished and brushed aluminum and all HPC frames the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint. We use this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight.

Hybrid Cable Routing: The “no fuss” function of electronic shifting convinces more and more riders. Even long-time friends of classic gear shifting won’t want to do without the comfort and performance of electronic shifting once they have used it. We have equipped our new AGREE GTC and LITENING SUPER HPC frames with Hybrid cable routing meaning both types of shifting can be mounted without compromise. if you want to switch to electronic equipment later you only have to swap the cable entry plates in the down tube which then integrates perfectly with the Shimano Short Battery Mount.

Multi Purpose Hanger: The post mount brake mount is used on all hardtail carbon frames, high end trekking frames and all AMS models, enabling us to save extra parts. Dispensing with the IS adaptor and bolts saves around 30g. This may not seem much, but it shows the potential comprised in the details.
